O Canada

For those who don't know, July 1st is Canada Day. For lack of a better description, Canada day is kinda like our July 4th. It's when they wrote their constitution. But ask almost any Canadian and they will probably be able to tell you the dates, the words to O Canada, and whether or not you actually say "Balls to the Queen".

I've decided that Canadians are to their country as Texans are to their state. They may live elsewhere but their heart and soul know where home is. I've also decided that Canadians are some of the the nicest people around. I feel confident saying that. I've personally never met a mean Canadian.

Yesterday we went to our first Canada Day party, hosted by Susan and Dave. Susan is the Canadian, Dave is just lucky to have married one. But Dave is also from the north (Alaska) so maybe that helps explain why he is also super nice. The two "Northerners" make a great team, and threw a great party.
He looks good in maple leaf.
Susan, Owen and their new fence.
Dave was the chef. Owen is crying because he wasn't allowed a tasty burger...maybe next year.
Lucas showing support of Canada. (no tattoos for Owen)
Tony, Owen and Lucas.
