We went to the beach this past Tuesday. It was going to be 100 degrees in Portland, so Lucas' family decided it was a great day for the beach... we couldn't have agreed more. Luckily the beach is about an hour drive from our house, so it makes our first "road trip" a little easier. It was a lovely day, probably about 70 degrees... much nicer.
Most the trip Owen stayed in the sling to provide good shade. A quick escape outside for a family photo was about all we would gamble on his pale baby skin. His skin is even paler than mine! We learned that baby's can't use sun screen until 6 months... this is after we had already used it, but our pediatrician swears I didn't harm him by using it once!
