Alaska: Airshow, day one

Now, family, the beauty of Alaska are all reasons we went to Alaska, but the main reason was to the Arctic Thunder Airshow. It was an amazing airshow on base, so each morning we walked to it.

The first morning, we had quite a bit of time to look at all the static displays.

Owen got to sit in a lot of cockpits too.
When a pilot asked him if he was going to be a pilot when he grew up, Owen replied, "I think I'm going to be a hair cutter, but I'm keeping my options open."

Owen enjoyed looking through the bag of free stuff we got.
And then, the planes started to fly!
Lucas found seats directly in front of where the Thunderbirds parked.

After their performance, the Thunderbirds came and signed autographs. Luckily, we were sitting close and got many the first day. What we didn't get one day one, we got on day two.

 The first female Thunderbird: Caroline.
Owen discovered his shadow looked like Yoda.
