We all love the beach, and since it's so close to our house, we go there often. This past weekend we went to Seaside. We spent the night, I'll say it was part of Lucas' early birthday present. But really, it was for all of us. When we got to the beach, the boys were quite happy setting up 20 feet from the stairs. It was far away from the water, 70 degrees and perfect. After about 10 minutes, Owen wanted to be closer to the water. Henry was fine where he was, but we moved anyways.
Every time a wave came in, Henry would scream and run away. Owen would laugh and run.
After a few times running, Henry decided that he would dig near our stuff. Far away from the water.
Post beach warm cocoa. It's really a habit we should break. Every time were are at the beach, we get a cocoa... but it makes them so happy!
We stayed up "late" to watch the sunset.
It was a great trip. Henry was having a tough time going to sleep, so I was holding him singing to him. After a few lullabies with no help stopping the crying, I started singing Fatboy Slims, "Rockafeller Skank" (Right about now, Funk soul brother, check it out now, funk soul brother) He fell right to sleep. I suppose he really dose love the music Lucas plays for him!
