Monorail

During our tour of the monorail, their photographer followed us around and took pictures. They emailed them to us... so here are even more pictures!
My fixer men. (the tires in the back-ground cost over $700 a piece. Each monorail has over 120 tires!)
 Under the monorail
 Thom and the boys.
 Our private ride

 "space needle!"
 Opening the doors
 The boys loved their ride!

But also loved the exit turn-styles.

Again, what an amazing opportunity and adventure!

Make-a-Wish: grand finale

The boys thought we were done being spoiled by Make-a-Wish, but last night they had one final surprise. Our local fire truck came to our house!

They let the boys spray the hose... which is always fun!

Next, a ride in the truck around the neighborhood. Lucas sat up front, I sat in the back with the boys. They got to wear headsets. Owen loved talking into them. Henry said two things, "I love you daddy." and "this is awesome."

They got to climb all over the truck, looking at hoses and other fun things.
Owen put the ladder down, Henry put it up.

 Head bonks!
The small brush fire truck came too... the boys loved the "tiny fire truck".

Henry wanted to spray more water, I tried to tell him no. But the firemen agreed to more water spraying.

They ALMOST got me...

 Then, more climbing

Firemen and the Friedlers
 Good-bye firetruck.

What an amazing time Make-a-Wish gave to us. We will be forever thankful for these great memories.

Make-a-Wish: Day three

Our third day started with breakfast with Christina, Henry's chemo pal. She lives in Seattle now, so it was a special treat to see her. The boys love her, as do we.

Next, we drove to Snoqualamie to ride a diesel train. They had great old trains to walk through.

We got to meet the conductor and engineer and sit in the front cab before the ride.

Henry was tired after our trip. It was a busy three days. It was an amazing three days.

Make-a-Wish: day two

Saturday was a busy day... it started with a room service breakfast. We ate on the floor, the boys loved it!

We started the morning with a trip to the Seattle Aquarium.

We got to watch the seals get fed.

We walked along the board-walk, and enjoyed the view.
We thought we'd get a picture in front of the Great Wheel, instead we got a ferry. Still Seattle, but not quite what we wanted.

Lunch at Ivars. Henry ate shrimp cocktail and fish and chips.
Owen decided to enjoy clam chowder.
After lunch, we got to ride a seaplane. All three boys were VERY excited.

Lucas sat up front, I sat in the middle with the two boys. A lone passenger was in the back seat.

 It was a beautiful day!

Henry fell asleep with about 10 minutes left.
Owen used his new binoculars to enjoy the view.

Then, we went to Gasworks park.

Finally, dinner time. Dinner at the space needle!
 Brothers.

Spectacular views!

Some funny pictures of Lucas and Henry.

Dinner was about two hours long. The boys did great. Such a busy day. So many great memories. At the end of dinner, Owen said that he was "exhausted!"
When we got to the hotel, there was about 20 minutes of "he's touching me..." "he's almost touching me" "I think he is thinking of touching me". and then they fell asleep on the transformer bed again. I don't think they moved all night.
