We were getting the boys ready for a bath tonight. While Lucas ran the bath water, I was getting the boys undressed. When Owen was naked, I noticed a black fuzzy on his penis. I asked him to come close so I could take it off. He backed away. I said, "Oh well, it will just come off in the bath". Owen started screaming and crying hysterically. Lucas ran in. I told him that Owen had a fuzzy on his penis, that he won't let me get it, and that it will just come off in the bath. More loud screaming from Owen. Lucas calmly picked Owen up and said, "Buddy, your penis won't come off in the bathtub." He instantly calmed. Poor guy... thought his penis would come off in the bathtub. (Lucas is still glaring at me for scaring his son about losing his penis)
After the bath, Owen wore his new robe. He loves his robe... as does Penguin.

Toys
Cousins
Spending time with all of the nieces and nephews is always fun. Here they are some of the boys watching The Incredibles. We tried to get a picture of all the grand kids and grandparents. I don't know what was funnier, watching all the kids or listening to everyone holding a camera yelling and laughing trying to get everyone to look in one direction. Here's our camera's best shot.

Christmas: a random assortment
The Wagon
Christmas: a starting snack
Christmas: our place
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We started by celebrating at our house, before we travelled down to Salem to celebrate with my parents, sister, and her family. It was so fun to watch the boy's faces as they opened gifts.
We started with the obligatory photo in front of the Christmas tree. Henry wouldn't look at the camera, so here's a profile shot. Owen would look at the camera, but would give us his "smile face."

Thanks Neighbor
We have our very own "Griswald Christmas House" in our neighborhood. It's so much fun to walk there after diner and watch the boy's faces glow. This picture doesn't even due the house justice. (and yes, that is a pink flamingo!) Owen watching the carousel go around.
Ouch

Zoo Lights: take two
We went to zoo lights tonight with Mimi. We thought it was a good idea, in theory, a few nights ago. Lucas got off work at 4:30, he could meet us at the zoo. I would meet him there with the boys and Mimi, and bring dinner, consisting of Subway sandwiches. What a perfect plan. The weather even cooperated... cold but not windy OR rainy.
It should have been perfect EXCEPT: everyone in Portland thought it was a good night to go to zoo lights, even though it was a school night. It should have been perfect, EXCEPT: both boys opted out of their much needed naps, which created cranky boys. It should have been perfect EXCEPT: after both boys melting down we called it a quick trip and decided to leave (after about 45 minutes)... we spent more time trying to leave the parking lot than we did at zoo lights!
We did have fun while we were there... and it was all worth it to get this picture with a "daddy penguin". Owen was so sweet... he sure does love penguins! Henry was fine as long as he could get to his Cheerios, which meant one hand out of a mitten, which meant crying because of a cold hand. But when I put the mitten back on, he would cry because he couldn't get the cheerios. Such a catch-22.
