Park

I found this great park just a few miles from our house. There are two big play structures, multiple picnic tables, grass, a little water play area, overall, a perfect place to play. Owen loves the idea of parks, saying "swing swing slide slide" when we talk of going to a park, but he is so cautious that he doesn't want to swing, and the thought of a slide is terrifying! But, he loves to run around, watch other kids and play. When we got close to the water he ran away... maybe later this summer he'll discover it's fun! I will never mind having a cautious kid, but it's a little funny to watch.

This is him climbing down off a structure after he discovered the only other way down was two different slides. Such a serious little face!
Swings were vetoed, so were slides, so was a wobbly play structure... what he LOVED was this little bouncy frog/bee thing. He LOVED it, would do it for minutes on end, get off, and want right back on. He would bounce so high!

He tried to get on by himself, but needs a few more inches on him... so I would lift him up and help him bounce. Lucas would even get on the other side to bounce him even higher.
When we were almost done at the park, Owen made his way up a very tall staircase, the only way down was a huge slide. I followed him up, Lucas was at the bottom. After a few moments of protest, we talked him into sliding. He did. And even seemed to enjoy it... but when asked if he wanted to slide again, he quickly said, NO!
