Still Four

Owen woke up this morning and quickly asked, "I'm still four, Right?" He's still four, and still has style.

Happy Fourth Birthday

Yesterday, Owen celebrated his fourth birthday. We started the morning with a ride on MAX.
 New four year old smile.

Both boys love riding on the train.

After the MAX ride, Owen and Lucas got there hair cut (or shaved) at a barber shop for men. Then, we asked Owen what he wanted for lunch. He quickly replied SUSHI... so we went to MIO Sushi for lunch.
Some kids would call this a Bob-the-builder hat... we call it Hard Hat Harry's hat. (thank you netflix and the "all about" series).
New four year old haircut, enjoying a sushi roll.

Home for naps, then up again. Owen dressed in an outfit only he can pull off.
Friends and family started arriving, and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather to play outside. Dinosaurs were puking and peeing in our water table.
 Water balloons were fun.
Four boys (or monkeys), one MiMi.
 Sara and Henry knuckle bumping.
Owen wanted hot dogs. Quick, easy and yummy.
Owen received a bunch of fun toys... and if he could wear them, he would... then continue opening gifts.
He wanted a vanilla bug cake. So, that's what he got. Worms, bugs and dirt.

Happy birthday big-guy!

Owen amazes me everyday. He is such a great kid.

Randoms

Henry's favorite post nap treat is milk and watching a show about trains. He looks like such a big guy!
 Three boys hands eating popcorn.
 Last day to be three!
 Enjoying popcorn.

Last day of school

Wow, Owen just finished his last day of 3-year old preschool. It went so fast. Here he is at his spring concert. Not one word of singing, but he stood up there the entire time.

Official last day of school photo.

Park

This is the fun new park by Suzi's new house. It's a great park, just a block away.
Both boys swinging. Henry loves to swing... Owen took a while to enjoy it, but ended up staying in there a long time.
 Three kids up...
 Three kids down.
 Owen enjoyed swinging barefooted

Peguin

Owen wanted me to take a picture of him and Penguin. They were in my laundry basket sailing to Mexico.
Then he wanted a picture without Penguin.

More parks

The nice weather is amazing. We lather the kids up with sunscreen and venture out. On Monday, we went to a park. There was water fountains, but then they turned them off... the aren't supposed to be on til Memorial Day.

Owen is riding the bee like a motorcycle. "Just like Bob-bob"
Henry really enjoyed swinging.
More fun feeding the ducks. I love Henry standing on his tippy-toes

Style

This boy has style.

Fountains

We went to the farmer's market in Beaverton last Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and the fountains were going. Last year, Owen barely wanted to get a drizzle on him... this year, after a little coaxing, both boys enjoyed getting SOAKED!

They had such a great time playing together.

Silly Owen

Owen got to dress silly for school last Thursday. As soon as we mentioned dressing up silly, he said that he would were his rocket pants (pajama bottoms) and one sandal and one shoe. Lucas mentioned wearing a shirt backwards, and he thought that was pretty funny too. I mentioned doing his hair funny. At first, Owen thought that it was a great idea, so I borrowed some hair gel from Suzi and got amazing spikes out of Owen hair. But then, Owen touched his hair and didn't like how it felt... REALLY didn't like how it felt. So much so, that through tears, I quickly washed it out in the sink. He was much happier with wet hair, than gelled hair. "mom, never ever EVER put gel in my hair again."

Park

We are spending some great days enjoying the sun. Last Wednesday, After Henry's chemotherapy, we went to one of our favorite parks by our house. Henry loved doing the slide, Owen enjoyed playing with a measuring tape and measuring everything he could fine. (I was 42 inches tall)

water fun

Today was a beautiful spring day, so we spent the afternoon playing with water in the back yard.

The boys had a great time dumping water on each other, and themselves.

 Look at Henry's beautiful hair!!
