This morning, I asked Owen to help take off Henry's shoes. Owen tried and Henry let him. Good brothers.
Plus a quote of the day:
While grocery shopping, a needed to pick up some BBQ sauce. Owen says, "mom, you don't like BBQ sauce right? But you like beer... right?"

Post Camping Adventure
It was raining when we woke up from camping, so we drove south to Tillamook to visit the cheese factory. As cheese is Henry's favortie food, I think he thought he was in Heaven.
An impromtu brotherly hug.
Enjoying ice cream.
Camping is exhausting!

Camping
We took a camping trip with the Ryerson's this past Sunday. We went to Nehalem Bay State Park, and had a great time. It was a beautiful sunny day at the beach.
Here is a shot of six Ryersons and two Friedlers.
Henry has such a great time in the sand.
Abigail found a starfish in the waves. It was an amazing catch!
While Owen enjoyed the water, Henry enjoyed playing in the sand with Uncle Nathanael. Of course, Nathanael was digging and Henry was filling in the holes.
Picnic Time.
Owen and Lucas and a "wonderful fire".
Abigail enjoyed reading in front of the fire.
Beatrix was nice enough to share her helmet and bike with my boys. Henry had fun, but here he is waving "all done".
COUSINS!!
Camping isn't camping without Penguin and Doggie.
There was a fun park at the camp grounds. A perfect place to play between dinner and smore's.
Suzi took Owen on a big slide.
Roasting marshmellows.
Zachary found a slug.
Here are four boys watching the slug being put back home.
The next morning. Owen just kept saying, "we are making a lifetime of memories". (where did he get that from?!)

Soup
We went to Portland Soup Co. Food cart for lunch today. Owen said, "this is so good I don't know what to do!!". I'll agree it was amazing tomato soup.
Quote
I came downstairs wearing a skirt. Something I don't wear often. Owen asked "who do you look like?" I replied, hopefully your mommy. He said, "no, you look like a princess".

Cannon Beach
We woke up this morning to cloudy skies, and the chance of rain. We had no plans, so Lucas and I decided we should go to the beach. Rain can't keep us away from a day at the beach. So, we quickly packed up the car, loaded two very excited boy and started the drive. It rained. It poured. But when we got to the beach, it was BEAUTIFUL!
Three boys ahead of me.
We dug a hole, it filled with water and the boys were happy. It was a boat, a swimming pool, and a rocket ship.
Both boys were soaked within 15 minutes.
Look at those two healthy ankles. (well, healing nicely at least)
While we played mostly in a little "river" instead of the waves, the tide came in rather quickly. It ended up covering our hole and we had to move out of the water.
When we were done with water, we put the kids in dry clothes and continued to play on the sand.
Sitting watching the tide come in...
I wonder what he's thinking about.
Two boys, lounging in the sun.
After contemplating life, it was time to run. And run. And run.
Then some time with mom and dad.
Technically, not touching the water.
When both boys were minutes away from collapsing, we walked to get some hot cocoa.
Very happy boy.
Very tired boy.
