We decided to take a quick vacation to Seaside. Two nights, two kids, two adults. We had a great time, even if Henry was still on steroids for the first 36 hours.
Our first stop: the
Columbian Cafe in Astoria for some delicious toast (and other food). This is Owen's "vacation smile". Somehow, he wouldn't smile unless I told him to "vacation smile".

Next stop: Maritime Museum.

The boys had a great time running around and looking at boats.

All the boys listening to stories of the sea.

Next, the beach. Both boys wanted to start playing about five feet into the sand. I don't think they even noticed the ocean. Easier clean-up. Still, lots of fun.

Sand Angel.

Henry was more interested in putting sand in Owen's coat than a picture.

We went to
Ecola State park for a hike. As soon as we stepped out the car, the wind suggested otherwise. As Owen stated, "today is not a very good day for a hike". So, we took a few pictures, and hopped back in the car.
