Each day on his daily exploration of the house, Owen finds another foot or two... Yesterday, he rounded the corner and found... STAIRS! While I'm assuming you have to teach kids how to safely climb and descend stairs sooner than later if you have a house WITH stairs... I officially need baby gates!
Here's a little video of it... and when he decides he can't go up... he turns to find the marbles on the table behind him... I need to move those too!

My Mom taught me to safely go up & down stairs when I was 10 months old because she was going to have surgery & knew she wasn't going to be able to carry me up and down, so it is possible to teach Owen how to do stairs and be safe. Then for some strange reason (???) I was afraid of feathers (maybe one of the ducks at Laurelhurst Park tried to peck me) all she had to do was put a feather on the bottom stair & I wouldn't go up. (All this of course was related to me, I don't have THAT good of a memory....)
