Munchkin
Sweet Big Brother
Sometimes, I think we forget how tough Henry being sick is for Owen. He has to watch his brother get daily shots, go to countless doctor appointments and many many trips to the hospital. Though it all, Owen is amazing. Telling Henry that the shot will be OK, playing with him in the play rooms... even bringing toys to the exam room when he's crying.
Yesterday, Henry had a lumbar puncture with chemo. We got to go in after the procedure, when Henry was still sleeping off the anesthetic. Owen, so gently patted his head. He would tell us to be quiet when we started talking because "Henry's sleeping". Such an amazing big brother. Such an amazing little boy. Such an amazing son.

Airport
We went to Hillsboro Airport. It was cold, and we weren't planning on spending much time. Rather, I wasn't planning on spending much time, the three boys had other plans. We saw lots and lots of take-offs and landings, but it was COLD! Henry's hands were red, Owen's teeth were chattering, Lucas even said his legs were cold... but I couldn't convince them to leave! Penguin even joined the trip, he didn't mind the cold.

Optimist
We parked next to a bright yellow Ferrari yesterday. Owen asked what type of car it was. I told him it was a fast fancy Ferrari. As we were walking to the store, Owen told me, "Mom, our van is pretty fast... and it's kinda fancy. It's like the yellow car, but not yellow."
Where's Penguin?

Chemo Kid
Vacation
We decided to go on our first mini-vacation. Which meant, we spent one night at Seaside. We played at the beach, played some more, amazingly the boys went to bed great... the first time sharing a same room... then they woke up at three in the morning. They did not go back to sleep. Luckily, we have some great pictures to remind us that we had a great time, maybe even enough fun to try it again.
