Better Butter

After Owen woke up from his nap today, the four of us went to Canby to visit our friends Tony and Deb. While I'd like to say this was purely a social visit, it had a real mission to it: a butter tasting. We sampled four types of butter: Irish, French, Tillamook, and Friedler (homemade my Lucas). Tested both on toasted English muffins, and spread on baked goods from the Pearl Bakery... the Irish butter won. (sorry Tillamook) While this helped us learn a bunch about butter, it also just confirmed the fact that my husband is a food nerd and I love him very much.

This is Owen when he woke up from his nap... someone has really funny bed head.

While the boys were blind sampling butters, Deb built Owen a fort. Tons of entertainment!
