Parade Fun
To celebrate the Fourth of July, we went to our first parade in Hillsboro. The Ryerson's joined us, and we had a great time.
Pre-fun with bubbles.
Funny faces.
The boys loved watching the parade, and amazingly parades are a great place to practice our sign language.
Somehow, I missed a picture of Abigail. She did such a good job of grabbing candy, and then sharing with the younger kids (specifically mine). Or standing guard as Henry grabbed a piece of candy off the ground. She truly was an amazing cousin!
Birthday/Fireworks
Monday was Dad's 65th Birthday. What a perfect day to celebrate with a bunch a fireworks. Another year, a great celebration, and even more family got to attend!
Dad and Lucas with the bunch of fireworks.
Mom pulled out a bunch of outside toys... the kids loved them. Owen needed a little rest.
Who's behind the catcher's mitt?
Who's behind the hand?
SETH!!
Five cousins.
Max loved watching everyone play.
Dinner: PICKLES! And an amazing feast that Lucas cooked up.
Aunt Donna made wonderful pies.
Lot's of kids and the birthday boy.
As night fell, the fireworks started. Usually Owen hates fireworks, but this year, mom found him some noise proof ear muffs, and Owen LOVED THEM!!
Henry had other ideas about the fireworks.
Zachary lounging enjoying them.
Two tired tired boys (notice Penguin and doggy enjoyed the trip too)
Zoo
Last week we went to the zoo with Mimi. We all had a great time. It's the first time that Henry has been to the zoo and been able to enjoy it. He loved it! It's been a while for Owen too.
Henry looking for ducks.
Polar bear fun.
The elephant is in the back, above Amy's shoulder.
"show me your zoo smile!"
Waiting for the train ride.
The boys love trains, yet have never been on the zoo train. As soon as we entered the zoo, they both wouldn't stop asking about going on the train. Once on, Owen said that maybe we shouldn't go. And Henry buried his head in my neck. Owen quickly enjoyed it. Henry took about 15 minutes to take a full look around.
Happy happy boy.
