Bruneau Trip Part Five: Sunday
Just a few random pictures from Sunday. In the afternoon we went swimming in the lake. But again, 10 swimmers equals no cameras.

Both have the same serious face on. It's like they're related.

Bruneau Trip Part Four: The Dune
Sunday morning started with a nice breakfast.
A little stretch.
For both boys...
Then a trip to the dunes. Lucas stayed back at the cabin with a sleepy Henry. I took Owen and went to the "smaller" of the two dunes. As soon as we unloaded the car, the two older kids took off running.
Nathanael and Seth soon followed.
Owen, Beatrix, Suzi and myself stayed back for a bit to play in the sand. (High on the top of the dune are some Ryersons) Funny moment of the day: Beatrix filled her shoe with sand, then "drank" from the shoe. (she must have a thing for sand).
I think Owen could just play in the sand for a long time. Fill the bucket, dump the bucket, fill the bucket, dump the bucket.
Bruneau Trip Part Three: Saturday
Saturday morning we drove to Bruneau Dunes. It's about an hour and a half from Suzi's place. We arrived before we could check into the cabins, so we started with a nice picnic and then a splash in the water.
Lucas and Henry.
Henry decided he wanted to try eating with his new tooth... it's really sharp.
Lucas and the boys. I like that it looks like Owen and Henry are telling a secret. (Suzi and Beatrix are in the upper right corner)
Zachary and Seth could both make Henry SMILE!
Happy boy.
Abigail and her tumbleweed umbrella.
Owen playing in some sand.
After the picnic we went to the lake to have a splash (aka soaking). When we went back later in the day, and again on Sunday, all ten of us were in the water, so no pictures. But, Henry loved being in the water... which was impressive since he hated bathes for so long. Owen loved the water too... especially when floating with Lucas.

I LOVE this picture! Beatrix thought she should eat the sand...
I spy four Ryerson's and three Friedler's.
75% of us.
The other 25% slept through the fun.
Lucas and Henry chillin' in the cabin after the afternoon swim. Henry is wearing Seth's T-Shirt.
Cute quote of the day: I was playing in the sand with Seth. He was curious why the sand we were playing with was so black, and was concerned that the sand castle we were building was going to be black. When I asked what color sand castles should be, he thought about it and said, "sand castles are pink".
Bruneau Trip Part Two: Meridian
We got to the Ryerson's house mid-afternoon. Plenty of time to play and stretch before dinner. The kids were very excited to show me their new bunk beds. First the boys room.
Next the girls room.
All the kids played so nicely together. They were all so good at sharing their toys with Owen, and keeping Henry entertained!

Bruneau Trip Part One: The Drive
Last night we got back from our first family camping trip. We went to Bruneau Dunes State Park, in Idaho, with my sister and family. Overall, six kids and four adults. We had a great time! We "cheated" just a little and stayed in cabins, but it was worth it! I have a lot of pictures, so here we go: part one, the drive.
We woke up very early Friday morning to drive out. The boys all did great (Lucas included). It was our first long road trip with both boys... they amazed us! Here's just a picture of the road and sky. It was a pretty drive.
We stopped in Pendleton for a much needed stretch and food break. We found a park right by the Pendleton Round-up stadium. Owen was more interested in drinking water than stopping for a photo.
Sweet Henry. He just laughed and slept the entire way there. I don't think he cried more than five minutes the entire drive!
