Owen and Henry

My beach boys.

Beach trip

On Wednesday, Lucas got the day off work, so we headed to the beach after Owen got out of school. We didn't tell them where we were going, which Henry enjoyed, but caused anger in Owen. "just TELL me where we are going!" "I'm not going to have any fun unless you tell me!" He is not one for surprises, but he sure did smile when we pulled into the Cannon Beach Parking lot.

 My boys with silly faces.
 My boys are beach boys.
Henry loved running on the beach...
We dug a hole for the boys, Owen sat down and said, "I'm going to sit down and enjoy my day!"

Owen loved to sit in the hole, Henry enjoyed filling the hole with sand.

Owen got cold, because he was head to toe wet, so he and Lucas laid down on the blanket and soaked in the sun.
During the changing of clothes, Owen was super silly and cute.
And a walk towards "warm cocoa".
The boys both passed out on the drive home. When we got home, Owen said, "I had fun, but don't ever ever surprise me again. I will not have any fun next time." I suppose he won't enjoy a surprise birthday party in the future.

Old sleep, New sleep

The boys had been sharing a room for over a week. Henry decided he wanted to sleep in Owen's room... and Owen thought that was a good idea too. They would change who slept in the bed, and who slept on "bear".

Occasionally, one would nap in our room. Though, this nap was because Owen was sick (hence the orange puke bowl by his side)
Then, we got bunk beds. The boys were so excited. And they have been doing a great job sharing a room.
 Happy brothers.
A pose of their new sleeping arrangements. Owen on top, Henry on the bottom. I love hearing the laughter from their room.
