CDA: tea and Eddies.

Just a few more random photos. Abigail helping Owen walk.

Abigail and Grandma drinking tea.
Seth enjoying a cup of tea.

The kids with a moose.
Lucas at Eddie's drinking a huge Stella Artois.

Owen and Beatrix sharing pre-dinner snacks.

Blue eyes.
Brown eyes.

Seth loving Owen. They kissed. We have ourselves kissing cousins!

Owen slept most of the drive home. Amazing really.

When we finally got home, I've never seen a kid so happy to see his wooden spoon. He just went from toy to toy squealing with delight... it's always good to go on vacation, but it's always better to come home.

CDA: Gold Mine

We went digging for gold. (all you nurses stop laughing right now, and get that finger out of the gutter). We went to a gold mine. The best part of the tour was that we all got to wear "Bob the Builder" hats.
I think you can tell by the photo who was having a better time.
Owen didn't care for the hat. He actually didn't care for the tour that much... he's more of an outdoor type of guy.
Suzi and her kids liked it though.

After the cave tour we got to look for gold.

Suzi and I both found a piece (OK fleck) of gold... but the kids all found lots and lots of pretty purple stones.

While I don't think he'll admit it... Lucas had a good time too!

Family photo of all six Ryersons. I think it turned out pretty cute... a Christmas card photo perhaps?

CDA: the lake tour.

No, it wasn't by seaplane, much to Lucas' disappointment. We took a 90 minute boat tour. Mom and dad... in the background are the condos we stayed in.
Mom and Owen.

Dad and Owen.

Family photo by Abigail.

The Dude and Buddy. (aka Lucas and Seth)
Seth.

Mom was introducing Owen to the splash of water.

Lucas practicing with two kids. Beatrix and Owen.
Nathanael and his two boys.

Lucas and his boy.
Jill and Kate.

Family photo... even with my messy, no hat hair.

Lucas and Owen.
Suzi and a gaggle of kids. I love that Seth and Abigail are so concerned about Kate and Owen. They are such sweet kids.

The entire family... minus Doug who had to stay back and do laundry. Something about needing clean underwear for their continued journey east.

CDA: grass time

Owen made three teeth on vacation. Two molars, one front tooth. He occasionally slept good, but overall... sleep was not our friend on this trip. But when he did sleep... he slept soundly. Especially with the friend of Penguin.

Right outside our condo was a nice piece of grass. Mom (aka Grandma) had brought a lot of great toys for the kids to play with... Zachary even shared his "Cars" Ball with Owen. I love this little hat. It's part gangster, part golfer.
Bubbles are always a success.
It seemed that Owen wanted to blow bubbles.

But really, he wanted to eat the bubbles. No worries, no bubble farts occurred.
Zachary was making sure Owen was taking good care of his ball.

Jill and the youngest four.

CDA: Harrison

About 35 minutes away was a little town, Harrison. We spent a day there... a few days later few adults went there to kayak.

We took the time to play in the park and attempt a successful photo of all six grand kids and grandparents. While it is mathematically impossible to get a shot of eight people looking in the same direction, eyes open, no silly faces... this one turned out pretty good. Owen and Kate at play.
Lucas and Seth. Jill, and Abigail.

A nice little pier to walk down.
